| Info: | [b]Elevation[/b] Helsinki has been the only location in Ottawa willing to give the trance scene a monthly event that would be willing to give your feet a run for its money! Elevation has seemed to have found a place to stay in the Ottawa scene for good! The nights have been getting better and better with the months that pass. We have had a remarkable 140 people come out this past december when Mike EmVee made his debut, which has been the best month yet. I know this night will only get better and better as the months proceed, so put on your best smile and make sure your fingers are well in shape for the air piano's on this night! DJ's for the evening, and in the order of the night, are as follows. [b]Yelena[/b] [i]Tantric[/i] Yelena first got her start at a local Club Maxime where she was offered to promote and play a weekly night in 2000. Thanks to her amazing ear for music and the variety of styles played, which even included hip hop, the night soon became a success. During that time, she has found herself falling in love with trance and looking up to such greats as Paul Van Dyk, Tiesto, Ferry Corsten and the likes, and realized that thats where her passion lies. Yelena's dedication to the music paid off as in the past 2 years she's been asked to play at countless bars in Ottawa, which included Surface, Pink, Umbrella Room/Rouge, Mtl and Babylon. She has been busting out huge as of late playing numerous Elevation events, making her a part of Tantric family, as well as joining the Girls Night Out event at Mtl where she showcases her love for house, prog and electro. In 2005 she also took part in the Surface UDJ competition and showcased her talents there. Come out and support this lovely young lady as she tears up the dance floor, once again, on this Thursday night! [b]Chakra V[/b] [i]Tantric, Velvet[/i] Chakra V has been a busy little trance DJ and promoter as of late. He has been getting an incredible amount of interest from fellow DJs to play on this night. He is the founder of Tantric Productions who has some big plans for 2006 that include bringing in DJs from out of town, and out of the country. Highlight of his career so far would have to be opening up for the one and only Ferry Corsten at Helsinki Lounge and Disco, and has hopes for opening up for many more trance DJs to come. For this night, he will provide an excellent trance set to get you in the mood for Mike Emvee, so come out early and experience three of Ottawa's trance DJs. [b]DJ Mike EmVee[/b] [i]Tantric[/i] Mike EmVee's Canadian debut was marked with the outstanding event at Helsinki Lounge on December 29, 2005. This is where his breakout finally took place and his first impression was made. It was made, just his name getting out to word of mouth by itself made it possible for Mike EmVee to move on to possibly bigger and better things, narrowing his scope on what people want to hear. In the early days of his life, he listened to records in which his sound focused on club music from the Dutch chart parade. Although he was born in Ottawa Ontario, Canada, having Dutch ancestors helped in keep in touch with his native land in the aspect of music. Trance music has then become a larger than life portion to him. This made him realize his own attributes and got himself together to get a hold of highly anticipated equipment as fast as he could. Having a lot of support from his friends and people that support him as well his way in music make Mike what he is. There is no way he would be where he is today. He has highly propelled most of his intentions on impressing his fans more than anything else. This has made him a better and more respected person in the ways of being a DJ.
