(A Hump Wednesday Special Event) Come out you eager beavers on Wednesday November 23rd as 2 little homos present Beaver Fever 3 a special showcasing of female talent from Ottawa, Toronto and Montreal. Downstairs @ Disco: The weekly Ginette Bobo Drag Show where the kings will be representin with a suped up mad pimpin Drag King edition! Hosted by the oh-so-hot Ginette Bobo, the show features Osama Bin Thuggin', Chad Darlin and more. Anchalie Miles (Ottawas hottest and sexiest painter) will be providing live painting, while the b-girls from both Toronto and Ottawa are kickin' it on the dance floor to the hot assed mixes of Jungle Jen (lookout) and SOUTH BEACH $LEAZE (Footwork | Madbar | Republik |Toronto). JUNGLE JEN Jen has been spinning since 1993,l ike a roadmap of ottawa, She has worked every gay bar since 1993 that has ever existed in this city for at least one event in her DJ career and currently holds down the friday residency at Lookout (in the market) for the last 5 years SOUTH BEACH $LEAZE **Her sets are irresistibly catchy, combining London grime, dancehall breaks and Brazilian Baile-funk to form a sort of musical UN Summit. In other words, she's got the beats to make you baaaang! ** For anybody who missed her Oct. 5th, the disco lounge was Bumpin by 11p. So get there early to avoid a line up. The Womens group Agitate will be in attendance and taking part throughout the night. [ www.geocities.com ] Agitate is an Ottawa-based collective and network for aboriginal women and queer women of colour in Ottawa. Its aim is to provide queer visibility within racialized and ethnic communities; outreach; social programming; education; transnational perspectives; and anti-racist activism. Agitate will also forge links with other organizations that share a similar vision of social justice. Agitate was borne out of recognition of the unique nature of the intersecting oppressions we face as women, as queer persons and as First Nations and persons of colour.
