Info:On Friday, November 18, 2005, Kapacity Entertainment proudly presents a true hip-hop hall-of-famer and one of rap's greatest lyricists, Masta Ace, with special guest, Wordsworth & DJ A.Vee.

The legendary Masta Ace made his rap world debut in 1988 on the classic posse cut "The Symphony," from legendary producer Marley Marl's In Control Vol. 1 compilation, alongside Big Daddy Kane, Kool G Rap and Craig G. In Control also featured two Ace solo cuts, and a subsequent recording contract with Cold Chillin' Records led to his 1990 debut album, Take A Look Around, featuring hip-hop classics like "Music Man," "Letter to the Better," and "Me And The Biz."He followed that classic album with 1993's Slaughtahouse, and then 1995's Sittin' On Chrome. Ace's impressive resume of work includes: colloborating with the Brand New Heavies for a track on their Heavy Rhyme Experience, was a part of the Crooklyn Dodgers (Special Ed, Buckshot, and Q-Tip on production) for the 1994 title track from Spike Lee's Crooklyn soundtrack, along with elusive basement-bangers like "Top Ten List", and many others.

The rhyme veteran found a renewed energy for making music in 2000 after a brief spell of industry disenchantment. The rapper/producer re-entered the scene, dropping acclaimed singles on a variety of independent labels, and a successful European tour in October of that year inspired him to connect with Yosumi and record Disposable Arts, his fourth masterfully crafted collection of clever, streetwise wordplay and bangin' beats. Ace followed that with another quality effort in 2004, A Long Hot Summer.

This past February, Kapacity brought Masta Ace to Ottawa for his first ever appearance. The sold-out event was one of the best hip-hop shows in recent memory. Ace had such a good time performing in Ottawa, he had to come back. Get ready for another classic show from this hip-hop legend.

As his name suggests, Brooklyn-bred microphone fiend Wordsworth is the epitome of a true hip-hop wordsmith. A college graduate who wrote all his papers in rhyme, Wordsworth first hit the scene at the famed Lyricist Lounge showcases, where he and partner Punchline (who performed at the previous Masta Ace show) impressed host Q-Tip so much he invited them to spit on “Rock Rock, Y’All,” for A Tribe Called Quest’s 1998 album The Love Movement. The duo then went on to drop unforgettable freestyles and guest appearances, eventually releasing their own album, Punch ’N’ Words. This year is Wordsworth’s time to stand alone with the release of his debut solo album, Mirror Music. This recently released album shows a growth in Wordsworth’s patented swagger; the wordsmith does more than just brag on the new album – he gives personal insight and spits narratives that reflect everyday life without glorifying street living. Kapacity is very excited to host the first opportunity in the nation’s capital to witness one of Wordsworth’s famed live performances.
