That's a pretty good way of avoiding trolls, hypocrites and liars. Not to mention serial baby rapists and violent motherfuckers. One can also stay inside his home to avoid those in the real world. What about that. People will be people. And ass-holes on any fucking given moment. Online and offline. Do people walk around saying "hello there, My name is John Doe and I'm a hypocryte?" There a re a few people that don't talk to me anymore because of crap I said/done before. I take responsability too. Like, yeah, I was drunk last night, and I drunk posted. I can tell that the way it came out was a little antagonizing, but hell, I'm not gonna hate on anyone who calls me out. I actually KNOW when I'm being an Idiot. (well most of the time) 
I admit you guys are right. If I should ever get in trouble about what I said or who I diss, I fully deserve it. I mean, I am totally aware that if I send someone off here, and they come back at me irl, I'll deserve the beating and/or reality check. And I won't go "Well, what an idiot, I only said I'd fuck his dead mother if she didnt smell bad!" I totally agree that no matter the medium, be in forums, or real life convo, or txt messaging, whatever, what someone sez stays. And the speaker is accountable for their words. |

I got a reminder that running your mouth, however right you think you are, can get you in trouble. And he got arrested. And thanks to someone I can't really call a friend, he also got beat up, AFAIK? |

:) Well what goes around does come around. And yeah, sometimes shit gets handed down. and then you have regulators.
But yeah, All my quips here are basically about freedom of speech, and speaking your mind, however way you want to. I, However, never said that one should not face the wrath he may spark up in someone's heart. I mean, nobody is above the repercussion of their words or action. I am not just a full fledged member of "Nice squeaky clean internet ethics group." That's all. I have my bad moments, just like I have my good ones. Just like in real life. When I do go, I like being thanked, and if I do really bad, well, I'm not gonna complain cuz I got my ass handed to me on platter see. :) |

and I agree w/ Cutterhead on that one. Ive been doing illegal activities on the internet for about 15 years now using pretty much always the same alias, and some other ppl doing similar stuff that I do got contacted by actual real lawyers and had theyre original posts and contents removed from "the internet". Of course nothing can be "deleted for ever" and whatever is uploaded on "the internet" stays on "the internet" for ever. Always amaze me how I can find stuff I wrote 8 years ago on a website not even existing anymore with google ;) And sure you can always use different alias/ip adresses and so-on but in the end everything you say and do can and will be used against you if "they" want to stop you. Of course I haven't stopped any of my activities and I keep on enjoying my "not so anonymous anymore" entertaining adventures on the internet with better knowledge of the risks and advantages it has. I Cant deny the fact that I love making other internet users beleive that i'm a hundred different human beigns at the same time tho :XD |
