Montreal: Cool Spots

 Coolness: 41670 | Hey guys, i'm always trying to rediscover the city, and i'm looking for cool spots to check out: restaurants, parks, boutiques, bars, green spaces, cool graffiti, abandoned buildings... anything!
I keep returning to the same cool spots... maybe this short list will give you an idea of what i like: Burritoville, L'Escalier, Concordia Co-op bookstore, Cheap Thrills, Tam tams on Sunday, Cafe Pi... any suggestions? :D Andrew |

 Coolness: 166485 | If you're into various music, you can hang out at Sound Central ... dude has coffee and soft-drinks available so you can chill and check out the CDs and Records -- 4486 Coloniale (corner of Mont Royal)
For bars, take your pick, they all suck nowadays :P For parks/green-spaces, you can just check the map of Montreal to find 'em but besides Mount Royal, Lafontaine park, and that big greenspace near the Olympic Stadium (park DeMaissoneuve?), the rest of the places (that I've seen) are small or have nothin' going on. Actually there is one more cool park spot but I can't remember where it is -- around Parc and Jean-Talon, I think o_O (anyone know what I'm talking about?), it's got a little pond, and it seems fairly secluded when you're in it. Some chilling spots along the Lachine Canal if you like biking. There's Manga Tea on St.Denis if you dig comics and tea. That's all I can think of off the top of my head - but honestly in such a big city you'd think there'd be more awesome places to chill ... |
