In Quebec the issue comes up often 'cause of historical oppression (i'll keep my opinion on that and QC's language laws, to myself) Even if Quebecers, or Kebekians, complain about English, I'm not sure they do it to a webcam and put it up on Youtube. Besides, if they did, it would be in French, so the only people who'd understand would be the choir they're preaching to :P Ah, humans. Naming things in an understandable fashion hasn't really been their strong point anyway, so I don't get why this kid is complaining ... (I mean, he as an issue with the name 'Orleans', but there's a whole fucking city named after that in the USA, and they don't bitch about it). |

Anglos are the invaders here, not Francos :P A war has been kinda lost, but "French Canadians" (who btw are not all in Québec, and vice-versa) never really surrendered and keep fighting for their rights and culture... so even when they are racist/stupid/uninformed, the context is not the same anyway. (PS: the situation of Anglos vs Francos is kinda the same as Francos vs Natives, though) |

Quebecers should learn the english language or go back to France ( which we came from about 300 years ago while most of us were born, erm, here in Canada ) because he's peeved about a street, a mall and a political party's name written in french ? Laughable. Hell, he's not even old enough to drive, buy liquor and pay his own damn internet access fee. If anything, his ISP should be charging even more for wasting precious bandwidth.
I dunno, if he's so displeased with french around where he lives, maybe he should go cry, bitch, whine and throw tantrums at his parents to move out of Ottawa. |
