PTCHIOU PTCHIOU?! MORE LIKE PATCHOULI PATCHOULI. LAWL!

But seriously, fuck psytrance. And also, fuck Hardcore becoming a big ol' fad. (Not like there will ever come a time that there are 8 HC events a month in Montreal)
I'm feeling x_x right now..

We claim to be original, keep dissing radio commercialism and complaining about the endless hordes of dance listening guidos in afterhours yet at the slightest hint of increased worldwide exposure of one particular music style, we do the exact same shit, jump on the bandwagon and start running for the nearest hardware store to get glow-in-the-dark paint and beeswax. How does that make us any different than the mindless masses ?

And to make matters worse, most promoters are pre-broke, spineless and soft. So what do you do when you find a $20 under an old pizza box, wanna make sure you can gather as much people as possible with the least chance of loosing money ? Well, you throw a psytrance or dubstep party, that's what ! "Hey, if 300 people came at that party last week, the same 300 peeps are bound to come to MY party !"

Now what comes next isn't reminiscing because, quite frankly, today's scene has NOTHING to do with what it was way back when but I remember a time where you'd have, within the span of a month, various parties of various styles, some of which WEREN'T EVEN POPULAR AT THE TIME. Some promoters used to take chances and throw speedcore parties when progressive trance was the new black. Yeah, they must've lost money. Yeah, the place mustn've been packed like crazy...

... but they had the fucking balls to dare and not fall under the same vicious circle of popularity. And somehow, most of them succeeded.
I'm feeling [__insert emotion here__] right now..

QFfuckingT

It's like walking in to a goth night and seeing 15 people wearing the same "Conformity is the death of the soul" shirt with various coloured plastic/etc Lip Service pants all bought from Cruella's. Total conformity while thinking they're being non-conformist.
I'm feeling like a drama magnet right now..
