rainbow people, people interested in yoga and healing, new-age, old-school goa party-people, etc...
not that i agree that it's a good idea not putting it on here lol... i just think that they're not there yet in their promotion, and that it's not their main focus. it's organized by people from sherbrooke, so maybe they don't think right away about the montreal rave networks... ;)

mind you, this may be one of the best parties of the year still... it was amazing last year :)
I'm feeling authenthic right now..

space gathering in the past years was a festival that made pretty much everyone happy...
there was three stages;
one with psy-trance music at night, and prog/electro in the day
one with psybient and world music, and live bands
and one with conferences and really chill music, tea, meditation and such...
but this year we're not sure yet what it will be like yet.
of course smaller, probably just a main dancefloor and a chillroom... not much in terms of live bands, because it's really complicated to set up...
we want to keep it simple...

adam, the organizer of open mind, was the one mostly taking charge of the meditative area in space gathering. from what i heard this year though there will be someone else in charge of the dancefloot aspect of the party.

i think you should either go to all of the parties if you can afford it :) i would not live my summer otherwise :) :)
or just look at the line-up and see which ones appeal the most to you...

I really enjoy their approach, but they beat to a different rhythm. Either there is not psytrance or the date of their party really doesn't mix in my schedule :p

Eclipse would have been nice. After 10 years of hard work, I guess the promoters deserve a summer with some free time.

it's not gay, and yes they deserve their break. they'll be able to take the summer and go to the big awesome festivals in europe and learn from what they find there...
that'll only make a better edition for the 2012 eclipse.

the more you travel, the more you meet inspiring people and teachers, the more your mind is open... and the eclipse people really need this kind of experience. i see it happen slowly over time, they open up to the other dimentions of the gatherings, you know, other than the line-up and flawless technical planning. the 2010 edition was really a step up in that regards, and i see it, the more they travel, the better the festival becomes :)
