Since then he has received lots of postive attention from international dancefloors all around the world, and has had many released alums and individual tracks on compilations from labels such as 3d Vision, Spirit Zone, Nutek rec., Neurobiotic, Turbo Trance Rec., Spliff Rec, Agitato Rec., Phantasm Rec, Materia Rec... and so many others. His last album called "2046" is a masterpiece of production, and was released on Phantasm rec. Mekkanikka is now located between Barcelona and Ibiza, where he is producing his next album, He has been playing his cutting edge new sound around the world. His massive collaboration with other psytrance artists such as Bliss, Earthling, Mad Maxx, XSI, Painkiller, Chromatone, Vibraddict, Planet B.E.N, CPU, Sirius_Isness and more...., gave him the opportunity to express many different musical genre within the psytrance scene. In December 2006, after an impressive gig in Switzerland in front of 1000 people and Twisted label owner, Simon Posford (Shpongle, Hallucinogen, Younger Brother), he was made an official Twisted DJ. Since starting out he’s played in the USA, Israel, Russia, Canada, Luxembourg, Ibiza, Morocco, Costa Rica, Greece, England, Wales, Scotland, Ireland, France, Switzerland, Spain, Italy, Finland and Hungary with more bookings pouring in all the time. Widely acclaimed wherever he’s played, the gigs keep getting bigger and better! It’s been a meteoric rise in the short time he’s been on the circuit. He left Twisted in 2008 and now is concentrating on his Minimal Mayhem sound. Although he still plays some Twisted material in his sets, he is now concentrating more on the techier end of things. | Coolness: 72990 | We booked them last party, and we decided to try and bring some new live acts this time.
We decided on bringing a major headliner: Mekkanikka Then we decided on bringing both Kode Six and Virtual Light this time around to sort of present the "biggest" live acts to come out of Montreal. Then we have 2 up and coming live acts from Quebec city who are starting to attract a lot of attention and then we have myself and e.t. who are organizing the party. Once you put all those lives in we just didn't have any room for cosmic orgasm. I'm sure you know their style of music, and hopefully you can agree that putting them at either 10pm or am just doesn't do their music any justice. Anyways they've been getting lots of bookings now anyways, there have been plenty of opportunities to see them live this summer. You can't really say the same for any of our acts. Were really just trying to offer something different to the scene. Putting our own twist on things. |

| Coolness: 65820 | I endorse your view point and do not disagree with any point raised except we may have a different definition of live act :p And that the 10pm argument is a bit weak, as a other acts can be moved around. The fact that you guys have booked them before makes sense, and I'm not going to check whether you've booked any of the other guys previously, although I do believe you have.
Hey, the event sounds great, really great. It's your baby, you do what you want with it :) Its just when I see the word live, I think cosmic :D I am 100% attending if homework permits me. |

| Coolness: 72990 | Ha trust me Joé is a good friend of ours and was on our list of potential bookings, all I meant, and in retrospect should have said is that if we had a good spot to put him in we would of. But when trying to create a good progression of music throughout the night it's really hard to make everybody happy.
Anyways if all doesn't go horribly wrong this probably won't be the last event we throw. Actually if all goes well with something were doing tomorrow something pretty huge might happen for the rave scene in Montreal, but I can't say anything until it's all down with our signatures on paper. That said it's almost inevitable that cosmic will be booked in the future. And in terms of live I think there will be more then a few surprises in store :D |

| Coolness: 509465 | I think the biggest point was that Cosmic Orgasm already gets tons of bookings compared to every other artist on the line-up at Spore. Differentiation is all important when you want to provide quality and fresh 'air' into anything...
In any case, hold on to your hats, Spore is going to drop the veil on Montreal's fastest growing underground live scene! |
