Do you remember being on the outside, looking in? Thinking about raves and ravers. Debating whether to go. Do you remember what you thought about the scene?

I remember for me, I thought ravers were the coolest thing in the world. The way I saw it, ravers were these amazingly high functioning members of society...they we're doing it all. Moving shit forward in the day - working, studying, changing the world, being societal shit destrubers. And then partying hard at night to this bass heavy, tribal techno beats. They were full of energy, pushing life to the limits. Using supplements to give them an edge. No limits. The idea of dancing for 12 hours straight, and then crashing for a few hours before continuing with my day...thats what I thought it was all about. Who were these awesome people that were so hardcore, I thought. I want to be like them. And those kandi girlies with their fluffy boots, fit abs, and wonderfully colorful clothing and cyber-locks...I wanted one of those.

I was slightly off base...

What first attracted me to the scene/raves...

When I was 14-15, the idea of dancing in the dark with glowsticks and listening electronic music for hours in a underground place, sounded cool to me.

So at 17(that was in 2002), when friends invited me to a place like that, I said why not...

and BAM, my life changed.
I'm feeling rave on right now..

Red Bull is the most popular energy drink in the world, according to market share. Red Bull is an adaptation of the Thai energy drink Krating Daeng, which means 'Red Bull'. The company was founded by Thai national Chaleo Yoovidhya and Austrian national Dietrich Mateschitz. Together with his son, Chaleo owns a controlling 51 percent interest in the company; however, Mateschitz is responsible for the company's operations through the Austrian company Red Bull GmbH.[1]

Red Bull's slogan is "it gives you wings" and the product is aggressively marketed through advertising, tournament sponsorship (Red Bull Air Race, Red Bull Crashed Ice), sports team ownerships (Red Bull Racing, Red Bull New York) and celebrity endorsements. In 2009 it was discovered that Red Bull Cola exported from Austria contained trace amounts of cocaine.[2][3][4][5][6] Red Bull has also been the target of criticism concerning the possible health risks associated with the drink.[7]

Caffeine is a bitter, white crystalline xanthine alkaloid that is a psychoactive stimulant drug. Caffeine was discovered by a German chemist, Friedrich Ferdinand Runge, in 1819. He coined the term kaffein, a chemical compound in coffee (the German word for which is Kaffee), which in English became caffeine.[3]

Caffeine is found in varying quantities in the beans, leaves, and fruit of some plants, where it acts as a natural pesticide that paralyzes and kills certain insects feeding on the plants. It is most commonly consumed by humans in infusions extracted from the bean of the coffee plant and the leaves of the tea bush, as well as from various foods and drinks containing products derived from the kola nut. Other sources include yerba mate, guarana berries, and the Yaupon Holly.

In humans, caffeine is a central nervous system (CNS) stimulant, having the effect of temporarily warding off drowsiness and restoring alertness. Beverages containing caffeine, such as coffee, tea, soft drinks, and energy drinks, enjoy great popularity. Caffeine is the world's most widely consumed psychoactive substance, but, unlike many other psychoactive substances, it is legal and unregulated in nearly all jurisdictions. In North America, 90% of adults consume caffeine daily.[4] The U.S. Food and Drug Administration lists caffeine as a "multiple purpose generally recognized as safe food substance".[5]

Caffeine has diuretic properties when administered in sufficient doses to subjects that do not have a tolerance for it.[6] Regular users, however, develop a strong tolerance to this effect,[6] and studies have generally failed to support the common notion that ordinary consumption of caffeinated beverages contributes significantly to dehydration.[7][8][9]
