October 10th, 2009, is a date to put on your agenda. The IN Progress events are back with a rock-solid 12th edition, presented this time in collaboration with Noerg Productions. After several editions in renowned Old Montreal venues like the Velvet and the Cherry, IN Progress will this time be held in the amazing Espace Réunion locals, located at the 6610, Hutchison. This edition, not to miss, proudly presents John Graham, best known under the name Quivver. The popular British producer and famous remix artist helped shape the progressive/trance movement in late ‘90’s electronic music. In the early 90’s, Graham started producing tracks under the alias Skanna, releasing a series of 12’’s on the label of the same name, rapidly drawing attention on himself for the high quality of his productions. In 1994, now signed to A & M Records Ltd (UK), he produces the extremely catchy ‘’Saxy Lady’’ and ‘’Twist & Shout’’. Those tracks quickly circle around the globe, being spinned by mammoth DJs such as John Digweed and Pete Tong. After a shake-up with A & M, Quivver jumps on Paul Oakenfold’s label Perfecto in 1995 and keeps on with its series of major productions with bombtrack ‘’Believe In Me’’, which introduces a definitely progressive aspect to Quivver’s pure house music style. At that moment, Graham diversifies his style by forming the Tilt trio with Mick Parks and Mick Wilson, a project that was soon to become one of the biggest bands of the late ‘90’s with several earth-shaking singles. In 2001, Graham’s DJ talent is recognized when he is picked up to mix the 5th volume of the prestigious Transport series and in 2002, he launches his own record label, Boz Boz Records. He is then discovered as a dynamic singer when he’s featured in the excellent Hybrid’s artist album, Choose Noise, in 2006, proving at the same time a truly multidimensional artist. In July 2008, after moving from his native UK to Los Angeles, Quivver resurfaces with a long-awaited, monstrous debut album, Dirty Nails And Vapour Trails. We are very proud to present such a high-level artist for this 12th edition of the IN Progresse events!
