GREEN MOON FESTIVAL (June-July-September 2009)

This year Okanagan Moondance will collaborate with Tetsuo aka Noé and will be aiming at making its events part of a sustainable future; new concepts will be put in practice to help create events with the smallest possible impact on the local ecosystem, from composting toilets to recycling bins and everything in between. Projection of activist documentary films and fundraising for efforts like the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society and the Osoyoos Desert Center will bring the simple party spirit into a more evolved fiesta that brings a sense of community and responsibility among participants.

We are looking for volunteers, especially for a DJ set, workshop (ecological or art) or even any other aid.

Please inform us of any interest and issue by email okanaganmoondance@hotmail.com

Get Ready for Black Moon on June 20th at Kobau Park will open the festival
This event will start at 20hrs with a 20 min movie ‘The Story of Stuff’ and end with a D.J. and dancing until am.

So here some news about Green Moon Festival:

CINÉACTION
Start: Friday July 3rd 2009 @ 18:00
Where: KOBAU PARC, Cawston, Similkameen Valley BC

Description: Ciné-Action at Kobau Park (July 3rd, 10th, 17th and September 11th, 18th). Documentary films nights. Evenings will start at 18hrs with music, workshop presentation, a collective picnic and end with the movie presentation (we will start the movie after dark, around 9-10 o’clock).
