There's timecode CDs for people who are too lazy/cheap to burn their tunes to CD but are used to mixing on CDJs.

It's fucking mindboggling if you ask me.
I'm feeling your norks right now..

cdj's are cool with digital vinyl...
you can control 2 channels from 1 cdj in amputate mode.
which is really handy for guys like me who only have 1 cdj at home.
i personally really like the torq software.
mind you... the hardware is an incredible shit box...
but for the price its definetly a cool toy.

Depends on the CDJs I guess, but still.. I mean, I personaly find using MP3-software with CDJs is just a ridiculous idea.. I mean at least invest a little more in what you do..

It just seems totally geared towards people who soulseek/torrent all their tracks that really don't want to invest in anything but the bare minimum to be a superstar.

naw...
i don't see it that way at all.
nothing wrong with taking advantage of technology.
a lot of big dj's are doing this to play their wavs.
i wouldn't say its investing the bare minimum either.
i'd kill to have a nice set up with a fancy macbook, tractor, a couple cdj-1000's and one of those crazy new fangled midi assignable mixers.
that shit is way more expeez than a couple of 12's.

if you burn your tracks on cd, you cant use the fancy fx's that traktor has. but besides that...i dont see much point, other than saving blank cds, and the time it takes to burn them....i guess.

anyways, i dont wanna get caught up in this one lol.

i prefer traktor with vinyl, but would rather have a midi controller if i were to go that route.

as for torq, i never tried it...
I'm feeling like ezbake right now..
