A rainbow one went to mutante for his amazing good behaviour while acting like a doorman, the other was stolen by a malevolent scoundrel who considers fisting to be a lolling matter. Quit filling my mind with perverse thoughts about seacocks and bananas.
What an interesting night this was.. I tell you, it's quite disturbing to learn that one of your friends models his life (and that includes his dj persona) after that of a hairy footed hobbit. Who are these people I dare associate myself with and why is there no one around guiding me toward the path of righteousness and self-sufficiency. Speaking of self-sufficiency, I owe a hell of a lot of people drinks and biscuits, don't worry, I don't forget faces, as soon as I start making money again, I will stalk you and force you to indulge in sins/very ungodly things. I made new single-serving best friends tonight. Much love. The people at tokyo bar are snobby cunts. Telling someone they look like they've just had the shit beaten out of them is a great ice-breaker. Bunnies are cool. So are roflcopters. I don't have any of the stuff on Metric... but I've got the Black Monolith material, all the Fear releases (two or three copies each), Piruh, Ghetto Safari... and the Kultbox compilation (Biets Op Je Fiets!)... I just find it funny that on a night when Mutanté dropped one of the "I Wanna Be A Hippy" remixes, that I get singled out for throwing down cheese... although, it's been about 12 years since someone accused me of doing that (for a putting a track by French Connection on an old mixtape - some of Dr. Macabre's work is a little cringe-worthy). |

Don't get me wrong, there have been some quality hardcore shows in the last few years... but I don't think anyone will argue when I say that since the unfortunate demise of Cybervamp, there has been a serious lack of direction in the underground. Having a bi-weekly event devoted to promoting the music is something that is long overdue. The last few years have seen the scene become more and more fragmented, and hopefully this night will bring about unity - and expose people to sounds they've never heard. Hats off to the crew putting this together... and thanks to all that came out. See you all in two weeks... and remember... no scene can exist without a dedicated core of people that will support it. If there's a core, then there's something to build on. |

thanks to everybody who came or even thought about coming at the night. its probably only a matter of time before you wanna come listen to hard shit anyway. well,well,well... the scene... I have to say that its the purpose of the night to reunite and give a chance to everybody who would like to play. We feel that theres much more people that we expect who wanna have a place... lets hope the night will go on until everybody could come make some noise. So it depend on you people. But what i saw yesterday night made me happy, really. I started organizing events around '98 (maybe '97) and believe me, theres some nights i felt that i was loosing my time and money. I was wrong! Things are growing up. And theres much more different style. I do like Scott Brown as much as Berzerker or Xanopticon. And if we can hear them all on one single night coz we have different guess thats the best! So fuck politics and stay open minds. thanks again and hope to see you in 2 weeks for Dans Tes Oreilles and in a month for a Neurotik crew special nights for st-jean baSStiste. p.s. i fucking love "i wanna be a hippy" but i'm still looking for the speed freak remix. |
