The UN Office of Drugs and Crime reports that Canada now has the highest proportion of marijuana users in the industrialized world at 16.8% for those between 15 and 64 years of age. Eight percent of youth report using marijuana daily. The most recent Canadian Addictions survey indicates that while youth alcohol-use rates have stayed relatively consistent since 1989, use of marijuana by youth has almost doubled in the same period. |

| Coolness: 2603925 | I think it's pretty accurate. I think a lot of people stop smoking weed and start smoking hash at older ages... I'm not sure if you would categorize that in the same section even if it's the same basic thing. Also lots of people stop all together. How many of your parents smoke weed. |

| Coolness: 93435 | yeah...it definately depends who you chill with. And it depends on who would classify as a user. Im sure that 60%+ have smoked weed at some point in their life. But how many times a month until ur considered a user?
Anyways, a user being 1ce+ a month...I could see 16%. Suppose the 6 following groups are equal in size. Then 16% isnt too hard to distribute with it looking some what reasonable 16-24 40% (8 in 20 smoke once or more per month) 25-33 20% (4 in 20 smoke once or more per month) 34-42 15% (3 in 20) 42-50 10% (2 in 20) 50-58 10% (2 in 20) 58-64 10% (2 in 20) Granted I pulled these numbers out of my ass, but the idea was to illustrate how 16% could occur and look somewhat plausible. |

1: The street price per gram in Canada is 8$. The street price in the USA is 15$ and in the netherlands is 9.8$ a gram |

Actually it depends on setting alot (for me.) But I wasn't talking about me at first though, I was just saying that it is more likely to smoke more when your friends smoke, than start and smoke it by yourself. |
