 Coolness: 88580 | Huet never played a full season as a legit #1 goalie, he is inconsistent at best. The man will have an awesome game and then crumble... Price has proven that at 20 years old he is as good as Huet who is 31 and FYI far from being old when it comes to goalies.
I just think Huet was worth more than a 2009 2nd round draft pick... FFS we got SJs 1st round pick for Rivet. whatever... |

| Coolness: 88580 | Awianne, Huet a été échangé pour un choix de 2eme ronde du repêchage 2009, ce choix n'est même pas celui des capitals mais un choix acquis des Ducks l'an passé, ce qui signifie que ce choix sera fort probablement beaucoup plus loin dans la liste que si ca aurais été le choix des capitals. Le problème c'est que Huet deviendra agent libre la saison prochaine ce qui baisse sa valeur considérablement. |

Il se trame clairement quelque chose. Halak n'a pas été rappelé de Hamilton en même temps que Grabovski. Est-ce parce que cet échange était vraiment dernière minute ou parce que le CH cherche un gardien établie qui ne chockera pas totalement à tous les trois matchs?? Atlanta a justement un gardien vétérant qui pourrait aider Price à progresser plus rapidement... hummmmmm Huet vallait clairement plus qu'un choix de deuxième ronde mais on allait le perdre de toute facon à la fin de l'année. Considérant la quantité d'équipes qui se cherchent un gardien, je ne comprend pas que Bob n'a pas réussi à avoir plus que ca.... Anyway, il reste une heure et bien des surprises. |

 Coolness: 221705 | Man, Huet's depart is one of the best moves the club could make.. as specified above, Huet is agent libre next season and will most probably be asking for a salary Raise $$ much like Theodore.. Gainy wanted to avoid a simular situation.. i think a second round pick isn't as much as they could have got but at least they moved him.
Huet and Price are about equally as good but price has a lot more time to catchup !!! if you guys didn't see it comming then maybe you should watch more hockey !! :D |

Ok... so you trade one of the best 2nd line centre in the league along with a promising RW and a slumping LW whom, let's face it, is a proven 30 goal scorer? Bob did good, he tried and Pittsburg went all out for a rental... What I'm truly pissed at is that he got jack shit for Huet, a goalie who's in the top 10 of both goalie stats that matter most (appart for wins of course) save % and goals against average. We could have at LEAST gotten a pending UFA depth player OR a 1st rounder. Either or, I feel WAY more comfortable with this team than with the same team minus the Koivu line even if you add Hossa and Dupuis. but yeah, i would trade our 2nd line for hossa (two 100 point seasons and amoung one of the best current nhl players out there) for ryder (never had more than 50 points in a season), higgens (never had more than 50 points in a season) [so far, its equal to hossa's value] and koivu, who will not last more than 1 more season for Pascal.. i think it would be a fair trade, given that hossa sign's after the season.. but whatever, the peng's offer was better !! |
