| I'm trying to recover some data on a stripped raid array. I'm not sure why the array won't work since installing windows but i'm convinced the data is still on there but for some reason , the lookup table is messed up and as a result won't work. I an trying some software that can analyze the array and export the image but the only problem is that the array is 600 gigs which makes it pretty hard to export a file that big.
I have a computer networked with the one i'm trying to fix which has that much free space but it is spanned across a few drives of which none are completely empty making it impossible to make a traditional partition that size. \so i'm wondering if there is a way to make a virtual drive from all the free space i have that can be 600 gigs in size.
thanks

| I have never claimed to know everything. FOr example, when i was fucking your sister last week , i had a heck of a time finding her G spot. I would of figured it would be in the same area your mom's spot was considering the strong research being done that supports evidence that G spot location is heavily reliant on genetic information. Despite this truism , i honestly couldn't find it. You have no fucking idea how hard it was to concentrate on finding it while me and my 2 closet male friends where spit roasting her like it was 1999. The worst part was that your little sister kept gagging and eventually threw up which made the search that much harder. |

| You can do it right from the disk management utility in Windows XP pro or in Vista. It's called a dynamic disk.

| none of the drives are empty and i need the data on it. I suppose i could move all the data to one and free up a few drives but i would rather find a short cut. |
|
Coolness: 92205
| They don't need to be empty. |

| they are already dynamic disks because they have partitions arleady and it isn't possible to do what i need via drive management |
|
Coolness: 92205
| I dunno what you're talking about but it doesn't partition the drive, it's putting multiple physical hardrives into one virtual drive and you can only do it in xp Pro or vista. Jeez. |

Coolness: 44490
| you can't make a dynamic disk out of a disk that is already dynamic. Having a partition makes it dynamic by default. |

| I've been looking around, and it seems you're shit out of luck; you're only alternative would be to have empty drives and raid them or JBOD.. can't really do it with partitions.. (at least not from what I've found) |
