What do you think is a reasonable price for an open bar all night from 10pm - 3am !! ? please be realistic and refrain from FREE or 2$ comments.. :) I was thinking like 10$'s for girls and 20$'s for guys !! what do you think ? lets say open bar stands for : Vodka, Rhum, Gin + Jack (with Soda or juice) + Beer !! your feedback is much appreciated ! |

what if we include free music and dancing with Dj's in the price. then, 10$ for girls and 20$ for guys, with Dj's and a dancefloor and the possibility of a terrasse for smokers and a kick-ass kitchen for food ?? :) |

 Coolness: 42905 | I will never go to a 20$ open bar, because odds are i wont get 20$ worth of alcool. But my theory is probably opposite of what you thought right now (smurf you cheap unable to drink bastard).
At 20$, which is quite a low price, given most ppl can easily down 6 beers at 4$ each (bar prices), you'll need to make your money somewhere, and that somewhere will be: not enough bartenders! Thats always what happens in open bars. You get two beers, go make the line up, drink your beers in line up, finish beers, wait in line up, get to bar, and repeat. I'd gladly pay 40$-60$ if 1) Service is great, meaning there are numerous waitresses and ppl attending the bar and 2) The alcool has not been watered down. It usually costs me way above that price when i go out (of course its cuz i act like its an open bar but do pay :( ) So in conclusion, 10$ open bars will have no service, watered down alcool, and the worst possible beers. 40$+ open bars will usually have good service, good alcool, good to great beers and free snacks. Also, keep in mind you are asking on a forum where most ppl dont seem to have the legal drinking age :) and are also quite broke. Not that there is anything bad with that, except that it does skew the gathered data. |
