I'm not sure he would have walked away if he hadn't been wearing those. The pads probably prevented his knees from getting dislocated... |

| knee pads are designed for knee-slides... he's actually set up for one until the last second - when he seems to realize that he's not going to hit the transition at all. The helmet came in handy - watch his head snap on the replay... even with his feet and back taking most of the impact I'm pretty sure his head hit the ramp pretty hard.
Some of Danny Way's slams have been pretty sick, too... not sure what's online - but his site... [ www.dannyway.com ] has some rather retarded stuff on it. Absolute most fuckin' insane skater ever. |
