Normally I get phone calls about MY family members getting hit by cars, but some random-ass girl?...never. Some dude named Collin called my girlfriend at 4 in the morning claiming that some girl got hit by a car, now I dont know if it's customary to call everyone you have in your phone book RIGHT after something bad happens but it seems thats what he did...and he doesn't get points considering my Girlfriend hates his guts, was he stoned? First of all we didnt know the girl, secondly, is it HIS job to do the rounds and call people telling them about the accident>? No, I think not...good one Collin, don't call my house again.

I was with someone who I did not know very well who is lucky to be alive today after being struck by a taxi. I knew a few of the friends in her circle of friends and your girlfriends overlap and called everyone possible trying to get her in touch with someone who knew how to reach either her roommates or family.

I was the only one she was with, and was taking every lead possible trying to get in touch with someone who could help.

Have some compassion.

I dont feel for you man, you're fucking strange to call 2 and a half hours after the accident first of all, secondly we arent paramedics or the hospital. It doesnt add up in my head, because my girlfriend doesnt even remotely know who you're talking about, and why would you call her dude? You know what's up, and I don't think anyone enjoys panic-calls at 4 in the morning...we work.

Alex making a thread about how you're pissed that someone called your girlfriend to tell her that someone she didn't know got hit by a car is unbelievabley insensitive. Why ever bother??

I don't find, he knows why i'm sceptical of him calling like that, anyways! Is the girl okay? I'm not insensitive, how come nothings been said since? Is the girl in the hospital? cause thats were injured people usually go after taxi's hit them.

Given that at that point in time nobody knew if she was going to live, it made a lot of sense to call anyone who shared a common group of friends to find out if anyone knew how to contact her roommates or family.

If someone you cared about was severely injured, you should only hope that someone would do the same for you.

I wasn't calling to get her medical help. I was calling from the hospital.

I was trying to find out a phone number for friends or parents and working off a very small list of people that I know from this web site. Are you francophone? I can switch to french if you have a problem with comprehension; it all seems pretty clear to everyone except you.

Actually, I thought that was a fairly generous offer. It seems that there's some sort of misunderstanding.

No, 4 in the morning is not a misunderstanding, it's attention seeking. Hospitals have all that nformation once the patient is admitted, if she was Jane Doe (WHICH SHE WASNT) then I'd feel for you.

I was with her when she got hit, I rode with her in the ambulance, I was with her when she was admitted, I was the one they'd asked for help contacting her parents, and I was the one who explained to her family what happened. I wasn't some random schmoe who turned up at the hospital.

alex...this is cat here

I was in the taxi with collin...while I was on the phone with the fucking ambulace, Collin was being a respectable guy by trying to contact her friends, you have to understand that none of us really know this girl, we were all splitting a cab to the west like we usually do on Thursdays...

I can't beleive that you would actually bring this up on the internet...when your girlfriend was probably getting the call...she was lying lifeless on the fucking concrete...so what you were woken up, she needed to be around people who could be there for her.

So a couple of people were woken up at 4 in the morning...at least there was someone there for her. This makes me so angry Alex.

It was a hit and run, on Sherbrooke and Bishop. I am so glad that we were there for her.

...and you...you're so incredibly insensitive man, I can't wait till you turn 18, maybe you'll think before you write garbage on the internet about shit that you don't know.

If you were there....you would have called everyone you know... and then went home to write about it on the net... do you have anything better to do?

Seriously.
