I grew up believing everyone knew what a Chocolate Coke was, but I was apparently wrong. You should see some of the looks I get when I mention Chocolate Cokes. You'd think I said a dirty word or something!
For those of you who have never heard of a Chocolate Coke (I still can't believe it) --- here are some directions. You just have to try one. Trust me! Would Ms. Cocoa Channel lie?
There are a number of ways to make the TRUE Chocolate Coke.
There are those who think you can substitute Diet Coke in the creation. WRONG! A true gourmand would never allow this. A true gourmand will use only Coke and no substitutes. Pepsi won't do. Shasta won't do. Store brand is simply insulting.
Pour about three to five tablespoons of Hershey's Syrup in a glass. Yes, you can substitute, but Ms. Cocoa Channel would never do this. On a bad day, maybe Ms. Cocoa Channel would add something else, but it would have to be a very bad day.
Pour in ice cold Coke. NO ICE! Stir like crazy. Put in a straw and drink. The amount of chocolate can vary. Some like their Chocolate Cokes more chocolatey than others.
A straw is necessary.
Blowing bubbles is optional, but then again, optional is required. |

| I read a brief review for this. Apparently, it's like an Ice Cream float. You dump hershey chocolate syrup into coke and mix it real quick... straws are necessary. She also mentioned she added a little sumthin' sumthin' on her bad days... so yeah, I guess it's palpable with rum. |

Chocolate coke would have lots of sugar for sure, at least 10 teaspoons just for the cola alone.
There is a market for anything.
For example, who woulda thought coffee and coke would go together. Blak is a real actual product.
Coca-cola Blak isn't the first coffee-cola, Pepsi try it 10 years ago and the market failed. |
