As a DJ, Kevin is busier the ever before. In the Hardcore scene his amazing technical skills and ability to offer something fresh has gained him a massive following of die hard fans that wait eagerly for his performances at all the big promotions. Kevin has graced almost every rave promotion in the UK and leave no corner of the world ‘un-rocked’ with his overly hectic tour schedule.
Kevin has an outstanding knack for reading a crowd and knowing exactly what to throw down to capture that special something without rinsing the obvious anthems. By always being innovating, always being unexpected and always being 100% on form, Kevin has secured his place in the rave history books and will continue to offer his skills for as long as the ravers are givin’ the energy back.

On the hard dance circuit, Kevin’s DJ work has recently taken a spark after a few outstanding performances in his home town London. His hectic schedule last yeah gave space to his hard dance DJ performances which seem to have been dearly missed. A recent flurry of big gigs are now lined up so watch out!
Kevin is quick to remind people that his styles are eclectic and he has missed throwing down the hard dance slabs over the last 12 Months. Check out the DJ Mixes at [ www.nuenergy.co.uk ] for a few recent mixes that prove this man is one dangerous mother fucker when it comes to a hard dance set.
Pleasing the crowd as always, Kevin likes to fuse chunky German beats around paced up UK grooves and huge build ups. His quick mixing style hears him fly through over 20 tracks in an hour causing a relentless barrage of euphoria and drive. With a busy schedule including Frantic, good grief, Extreme Euphoria and many more in the pipe line we can expect to hear a lot more of Kevin’s hard dance sets in 2006!
Kevin currently owns four labels through the NEC. Each one is tailor made to offer the scene something fresh and unique.

Nu Energy Records is still going strong and has now passed the grad old age of 50. Pioneering a wide range of paced up energy infused sound the label continues to break musical barriers and mesmerize people with its relentless drive and encompassing power.
Relentless Vinyl is fast becoming a crowd favorite around the globe as it crosses the underground side of hardcore to the raved up side of things. Relentless has featured a wide range of artists both experienced and new and will continue to stand out in 2005.
Hardcore Collections is Kevin's more recent happy edged project based around vocal hardcore. Its pledge is to match new talent with experienced technicians on the same piece of plastic. Only 100% dance floor anthems will make it onto the label as Kevin strives to search for stand out anthems.
Dynamix is Kevin's longest running hard dance outlet and is now releasing in a Digital format only. The Dynamix sounds captured paced up riffs and plenty of drive which proves a winner in the clubs. Dynamix has been supported by Phil Reynolds, Lisa Lashes, Proteus, Rob Tissera and many more.
N.E.C Live! Is the brand new 12” concept from Kevin for the Collective’s growing output. The label is based around the success of the music that AMS, K Complex, Sharkey and Kevin Energy have been performing in their LIVE shows. The label will focus on the slower hard dance production rather then the faster freeform and hardcore edged tracks that are already being released on a mixture of the Collective's other labels.

The above labels all work alongside the other labels of the N.E.C listed in our discography page. Each individual label is owned by a key member of the scene that has their own talent and insight to offer. By creating and organizing the Nu Energy Collective, the labels have become a stronger and more powerful force. A force that has helped the scene reach the heights of today. 2005 Looks to be a massive year as Kevin and the other artists / label managers of the Nu Energy Collective unleash their most dangerous music to date!

Future Plans
Always involved in so many projects, Kevin has a number of exciting developments that are waiting in the wings. Nu Energy fans will be pleased to hear of two breakthrough CD appearances, the first being Kevin's mix on the Hardcore Heaven CD and the second the prospect of an exciting Nu Energy Collective LIVE! CD coming out through Resist. This CD will be mixed live at a Frantic event later in the year.

DJ/Recording History
Kevin Energy's first break into the DJ Scene was back in 1995 when he landed a regular Saturday night spot on London's Dream FM, known then as DJ Energy. At the time, Dream was a landmark in London for the Hardcore sound and it enticed a huge amount of people into the underground sound. The Dream F.M All-Nighters were the home of Kevin's first Live DJ sets. Each event was sold out weeks in advance. At this point Dream FM really was HUGE, ramming venues like Labyrinth (the original building), The Rocket, Linford Film studios and many more.

Kevin's reputation for floor filling sets at these parties led to bookings at similar styled parties. By 1996 Kevin was regularly DJing for some of the UK's biggest rave nights like Slamming Vinyl, Raindance, Diehard and many more. It was at this time that Kevin's first production, 'Hardcore Fever' was released on Thumbs Up recordings. This was Kevin's first time in the studio and it was obvious from the success of 'Hardcore Fever' that Kevin would be a great producer. After only being released for three weeks the tune was voted Hardcore record of the year for 1996. Every DJ included it in their sets and it still gets rinsed at parties now.

In 1997 Kevin Energy took up a full time placement with one of London's most popular underground record stores, Wax City Records. Continuing his recording work for Thumbs Up and Go Mental and travelling the country every weekend, playing along side the top names in the scene, Kevin had now fully secured his place in Hardcore History.

As Kevin matured with his musical tastes his style of Hardcore became deeper, harder and more powerful. In 1997 he teamed up with React Music's star Sharkey and helped pioneer a sound tagged as 'Trancecore' or 'Freeform' along side other producers like Billy Bunter, Helix and Fury. Kevin Then started his own record label to provide a dedicated output for this style.

In 1998 'Nu Energy Recordings' was born. Nu Energy quickly became popular granting licenses for worldwide albums and plenty of airplay. The success of Nu Energy Recordings sent Kevin's DJ career into overdrive playing prime time sets at major rave events all over the world. This movement of sound created by Kevin and his fellow artists came at a time when there was a lot of stigma attached to the hardcore scene. It offered a new and more marketable sound than that of the cheesy rip offs drowning the scene at the time. The Trancecore / Freeform sound soon crossed over into the Underground Hard Dance scene at events like Tectonic and Pendragon. A lot of DJ's were playing the music at a slower pitch alongside their normal tunes and Kevin's DJing talents were soon snapped up at such events. Now things were really on roll for Kevin Energy. His reputation for ramming arenas and blowing the roof off at such a variety of parties was spreading fast. Tracks like 'Waves of Desire' and 'Take Me Up' by Kevin on Nu Energy recs soon became anthems after a HUGE battering on world wide dancefloors and Kevin had now set the standard for his production work.

The General interest in the music created by the likes of Kevin, Sharkey and Co was now at a high. Larger record companies were showing an interest. In 1999 Kevin worked with Rumour records to compile and mix the 'Hardcore Innovators' album. As well as this compilation, Kevin worked with Stage 1000 to create the Chemical Generation CD series which also included DJ's like Fury, Helix and Druid. This series was an outstanding success and a big contribution to the popularity of the music. Other main labels were also showing a huge interest in Kevin's labels and production. React, Ministry, Sony and many more were all snapping up tracks for compilations.

In 1999 Kevin started experimenting with his production making Hard Trance orientated music alongside his Hardcore. It was at this point Kevin gave life to 'Dynamix Recordings'. The first release 'Cooking Up' was a huge success and became an anthem at events like Pendragon, Atomic Energy and plenty more. After the second release promoters were booking Kevin on the strength of his productions and the remix work started to fly in. Dynamix records has constantly supplied the Hard Dance scene with a fresh and upfront supply of Hard and Energised Trance. Top artists like Daniel Ro, Spencer Freeland, Neuron, S4, K Complex and Kevin Energy himself have risen Dynamix to an all time high with huge worldwide DJ support from the likes of Andy Farly, Lisa Lashes, Phil Reynolds and loads more. To boost the support for Dynamix records, Kevin decided to record a track for the renowned Honey Pot Records. His featured track 'D Bass' did the job perfectly and has added to Kevin's outstanding Discography.

The year 2000-2001 saw Kevin's career go from Stregnth to Stregnth in both the Hardcore and Hard Dance scene. Kevin was now making a huge imprint on both scenes and crossing the musical boundaries between each one. It was at this stage in his career that Kevin gave birth to the Nu Energy Collective. With the knowledge, experiance and contacts Kevin had gained from running Wax City Records, Kevin decided to create a central point for all the labels that he was associated with. Kevin worked closley with Stage 1000 and the Go mental Records stable to form a base of already established labels in a central place. Kevin arranged for regular release scedules, manufacturing and representation for each individual label. [ www.nuenergy.co.uk ] was born. The Nu Energy Collective fast became a strong force in the production scene. The Collective attracted an influx of new and amazing tallent to its various labels. The success of the Collective was now stedily rising every month. Labels like Bonkers, Peroxide, Future Dance, Thin n Crispy, Nu Energy and many more have successfully pioneered the scenes that they are involved in thanks to the Nu Energy Collective. As well as running labels, the Collective is responsible for building new tallent into the scene. Sharkey is always working with new breeds and has had a big part in the success of artists like K Complex, AMS, Stormtrooper and many more.
