PRO: -Music and Deco was great -Plenty of beer and alcohol -Kick-ass chill room, it was also nice and cool there :) -Location was great, near 2 subway stations and a 24hour grocery store. IN-BETWEEN: -Venue size was ok, but next time I'll go for a little bigger place. CONS: -No shock-absorbing cushions for the turntables (sorry about that guys) -More water bottles, at least 250 next time -There should of been available light sticks and energy drinks for sale. -Fans, fans and more fans. At times it was freaking HOT in the dance floor. However, I was really satisfied with the overall success of Ix. Profits where near break-even and everyone who came had a AWESOME time, that alone counts for most of my satisfaction :D Well, that's all I can think or right now.  Coolness: 79365 | J'ai eu beaucoup de fun a mixer, malgré mes innombrables erreurs idiotes et les tables tournantes qui bouncaient sur le beat. J'ai trouvé le crowd vraiment en feu, merci encore a tous ceux qui sont venu m'écouter!! Mathieu et Marc-Antoine, votre set était vrmt nice, et vous au moins vous avez eu la présence d'esprit d'amener des cdj's, assez indispensables dans une situation comme celle là. J'ai adoré ton set thierry, même si t'as pas l'air trop satisfait toi même... C'est dur de faire dekoi qui a de l'allure quand tes aiguilles jouent à saute mouton sur les vinyles. Pis ce que j'ai pu entendre du set de Peter, j'ai vraiment aimé ça, excellentes tracks et super mixing :D |

Where to begin? Well the venue is a great location but maybe not exactly the best for dancing really harshly (for lack of better words) as we could all tell by the wobbly bouncing floor and skipping turntables. Really a shame that that was a factor since it killed a lot of great tracks, but the party still went on strong. Gotta give props to Matduke and Metzen. Wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiicked set, well for me at least. I haven't been that satisfied with a set in a good while. Fire In The Sky, Eternal Heights AND World of Unknown (just to name a few of my faves)?!?! I almost died of joy. And watching Metzen be a maestro to World of Unknown was too cute =D I have no clue what you're talking about Thierry because we all still love you and ackowledge you as the King of Cheese. And you won't be getting the satisfaction of being stabbed in the face from me. The funky house was a good refresher after Francis' set and you still kept with the theme of bringin in the happy afterwards. Thanks for a good time. 'twas my first time actually hearing Peter mix and the tunes were nicely varied. Wished I wasn't so dead tired by the time you started playing. And Francis. Jesus sweetie I didn't know you were going to go that cheesey =P Although there were tons of technical problems at the beginning you still pulled through despite the crazy posessed turntables, but you can't blame your crowd for wanting to dance (First and probably the last time i'll ever see a DJ telling his crowd to calm down lol). Also loved how you came to dance with everyone during your last track. Don't forget your roots boy! Can't wait to hear you next time again under better circumstances. Oh I frogive you for not playing at least one of my tracks ;P Last and most important, a HUGE thanks to the organizers! The place was SO well decorated! When i walked in I really just wanted to just walk around and take a look and the use of all the black lights were well done. All the Mayan stuff was a great theme and concept and thanks to Greg for giving me a basic understanding of what it all means. The water was greatly appreciated and all the places to sit and relax. So thanks again to Yann, Greg, Kathleen and Starseed, if I'm forgetting anyone else, thanks to you too for putting together a fun event. |

There is nothing more satisfying than seeing the smiles on your faces, talking with you all and being of service to each of you. We're glad we could offer you waters, tea, a floor to gather on and an ambience to be comfortable in. We're incredibly pleased you liked our art and our time and even though the floor was a bit of a trampoline we're super satisfied with the acceptance of progression from everyone. Every one of you who came, who bought tickets, who lived and loved our moments in time is a special friend to each of us now. We love you all and thank you from deep within our hearts for joining us and enjoying your time with us. We hope that this was as memorable for you as it was for us, as it's a memory that wont soon fade. |
