Mise à jour le mardi 26 avril 2005, 11 h 15 . La Ville de Gatineau prend un moyen détourné pour enrayer les soirées de danse de type « rave » sur son territoire. La Ville ne peut pas adopter un règlement qui interdit ce type de fête. Toutefois, selon le quotidien Le Droit, le conseil municipal présentera un règlement qui limitera au Casino du lac Leamy et aux Promenades de l'Outaouais ce type de fête. Comme leurs dirigeants de ces deux endroits n'ont pas l'intention de permettre de danses nocturnes, les organisateurs de « raves » se retrouveront avec un permis municipal, mais sans salle où organiser leurs fêtes. La Ville utilise souvent ce genre de pirouettes réglementaires pour se débarrasser des indésirables, comme les bars de danseuses. [ www.radio-canada.ca ] Les partys raves seront bientôt autorisés à deux endroits à Gatineau, aux promenades de l'Outaouais et au Casino du lac Leamy. Les conditions imposées aux organisateurs de ces danses nocturnes seront toutefois tellement sévères qu'il sera presque impossible d'organiser un rave en toute légalité à Gatineau! L'ébauche du nouveau règlement sur les «danses nocturnes» doit être adopté cet après-midi par le conseil municipal de Gatineau. Les autorités municipales détestent les partys raves au même titre que les bars de danseuses nues, qui traînent souvent dans leur sillage la pègre, la drogue… et les troubles. «Le nouveau règlement sur les danses nocturnes est, en fait, une manière détournée d'interdire les raves sur notre territoire», ont confirmé, hier, plusieurs sources municipales. Les villes n'ont pas le droit d'interdire explicitement les raves, pas plus que les bars de danseuses nues. Mais elles disposent de pirouettes réglementaires pour les éloigner. Le Casino du lac Leamy et les promenades de l'Outaouais ont été désignés pour accueillir les raves, car ils offrent des locaux suffisamment grands pour abriter des centaines de jeunes. Dans les faits cependant, ni les dirigeants du Casino ni les propriétaires des Promenades de l'Outaouais n'ont l'intention d'autoriser des partys raves entre leurs murs. Anyway chu sûr le 3/4 des gens allaient à Ottawa pour ça. |

Did I read this right? Did they say that they are completely removing the possibilties of "Raves" unless they are held at the casion, or are they completly banning "raves"? Either way... Its a sighn that it needs to go back to the Undergrond. BOOYAKA! |

People bitch about the lack of raves, too many of them, too far, too damn close, too small, too big, too expensive, too much crappy music, People would only be happy if parties were held a block away from their houses, would get in for free, get the VIP treatment, get free fruit, free water and juice, have the DJ play only what THEY like, bring in 10 international DJs of their choosing, have the lighting they want in a venue that's not too small, not too big with good ventilation, a chill room and a bunch of open-minded party people, preferably hot chicks and guys, not clubbers and not candy ravers and not too goth but a bunch of people who really think you dance well despite the fact you take half the dancefloor too yourselves with all the kicking and thrashing about ( think Helen dancing in Seinfeld ). So Lushys, whatever ANYONE does, people aren't gonna be happy about it. Welcome to the Wal-Mart generation : gimme more for less and if you can't, you're a moron. [ this is a bit of a generalization here but you get the idea ] |

| Coolness: 47205 | Yes, thats a given in anything in life, not just raves. But more sepcifically, Ottawa is in a state, far worse than I can describe. *shrug*
its nothing new to bitch about parties, all throughout the years ravers have ALWAYS said the years before were better, whether it was 99 or 2005 and whether it was in Montreal or Ottawa. specifically, you cant throw all night raves, but whats worse, is the Ottawa scene rejects the freetek/underground renegade scene so that certain people actually rat the parties out to the cops/talk HARDCORE shit about them or whatever. Its so weak I know the scene will pull through, if it can get around this bylaw, but with the GAT and Ottawa both being fucked for raves, its becoming more and more slim a chance of revival anytime soon |
