I hate 'em. They always get all mixed and messed up behind the gear, they cost alot, with the time they produce noises you don't want, they attract dust.... **A few** reasons why I'm moving more and more with softwares...

yeah man, the same here you know it Gak. I'm almost not using harware anymore. I still have my Korg Prophecy that I sample from time to time... The Nord Modulor is a powerful tool with a crazy crunchy sound... --Mark Hawkins main tool-- [ e.discogs.com ]

I know a guy who makes his own wires, for 1$ you can make something that would cost at least 10... TRS wires are supposed to be pretty easy to make.. I want to to look into this

well, if your constantly switching your wires around
that means you should get a patch bay, or a bigger mixer

yeah... im over my analog stage, im 80% software now, i still use my VA's, wire once and leave alone..... until i have a live PA to do :-/

yeah, beh*cough*inger make decent ones.. its not like theres any electronics inside so i think they'd be ok. my mixer JUST has enough inputs so i can avoid having to get one, but i do need some quality cables tho.

Patch bays are fun, i wanna sit in front of one and say "mah shizzle's going a-zizzle" like that telephone operator lady in that old navy commercial.
