DESCRIPTION:During the two last editions of the festival, PIKNIC ELECTRONIK and MUTEK made a joint effort to present a Sunday afternoon program. Consistently, the results have been both magical and memorable. So, the idea to return with two programs MUTEK // PIKNIC seemed not only natural, but also essential this year. 

Promoting sociability and the pleasure of open air listening, at the enchanting site of Parc Jean-Drapeau under the Calder stabile, the PIKNIC afternoons aspire to be friendly, family gatherings allowing all to take advantage of the good weather, an exceptional view of the city and quality electronic music. Animated in its mission to promote the local electronic music scene, PIKNIC ELECTRONIK adds a unique international dimension during the MUTEK Festival. 

MUTEK // PIKNIC Program 1 takes over where the preceding evening (NOCTURNE 3) left off. It offers an oscillating journey between lightness and intensity, presenting several top-quality artists whose work is characterized by an exploration of sophisticated rhythmic variations, augmented by a mixture of sounds and assorted influences. A perfect occasion to catch your breath, and take in a bit of fresh air.
