Après leur tournée américaine de spectacles à guichets fermés, les membres du groupe rock alternatif Tool seront de retour cet été à Montréal le 10 juillet, au Centre Bell dans le cadre d'une nouvelle série de prestations.
Formé à Los Angeles en 1990, ce groupe de musique a effectué plusieurs tournées mondiales et sorti quatre albums.
Cinq ans après la parution de Lateralus, album certifié multi-platine, leur quatrième album studio 10 000 Days s'est retrouvé en première position du palmarès Billboard avec des ventes de plus de 560 000 exemplaires.
L'album s'est également hissé au sommet des palmarès des ventes notamment dans plusieurs pays d'Europe, en Australie et au Canada.
Tool a commencé sa carrière avec un premier album original, versant dans le son «slam & bang».
Le groupe a été reconnu plus tard au top du mouvement de métal alternatif avec la sortie de son deuxième album studio en 1996.
