Best Poutine In The City??

I have a friend coming from out of town who has not experienced the JOY of cheese curd, fries and gravy all at once and am trying to think of the perfect place to take them. However, my fave spot to get a poutine (and hamburger) in the city closed down I found out today (Universal Cafe on the corner of Cherrier and Parc la Fontaine..RIP) Alas, Corey K and I were left this afternoon looking for a new joint to hit.
After a decidedly mediocre Poutine at a spot in the village, I really got thinking about where my spot is gonna be, I dont like to mess around when it comes to Poutine's. So, what are YOUR suggestions...also suggest late night places as I like to go when I am smashed....thanks.

thanks guys, I'm hungry now.
Certainly not the best, but your own homemade poutine is fun. Then again, who wants to cook when you're smashed. |

la banquise is good for the large variety of poutines, but it's not my favourite...
patati-patata is really good :) my favourite ones are PIPELINE (in the foufounes electriques) and GREEN STOP (on monk / jolicoeur, but it's not exactly what i'd call downtown) pipeline has a Jack Daniel's sauce which is the best i've ever had ! and their fries are my favourite. green stop has a very interesting barbecue sauce otherwise, for a good ol' plain poutine, i think i always hit LAFLEUR and i'm never disappointed !
I'm feeling phd powa !!! right now.. |

(I LOVE CHEESEBURGERS!!!) hehe it doesn't look that good at first glance... but try it at least once :) never tasted the burgers there, but i keep my burger appetite for La Paryse (on Ontario / 1 or 2 blocks west from St Denis) also, if you happen to be in front of Pipeline but for any reason you'd rather have a pizza, just cross the road and go to pizza Sipan !
