The therapeutic effects of E for many of us arent up for discussion. Some people say it changed their life, was the best therepy they ever had, turned their life around ect.

That said, there are obvious negitive effects that can result from taking the drug, and theres even the possibility of death, as miniscule and unlikely as it may be. Further, not everyone experiences the therapeutic effect, and if you don't, it might actually push you farther into depression due to the come down effects.

So heres the question for discssion. If you have a friend that is having trouble and its obvious that E might help, do you suggest it?

e can help you but can also ruin your life... and in the case where it helps you, chances are you'll have to work hard on yourself to make the changes pertain and not go too far... drugs are never a solution to problems, never... although it can really seem like they are.

drugs...the cause of and solution to all of life's problems.

if you want them to do E, you just create an environment or situation where consuming a mojor narcotic would be viable...

I would not reccomend E to someone only because I feel alot of the positive affects are personal. If someone is 'despetate' to feel better E won't help. They will inevitably be disappointed (not strong enough, not long enough, no wonderous mental revolution....) I think one should take drugs to enhance an already good feeling, not 'fix' a bad one....If you already have dopamine flowing freely, E is like getting a bucket of water dumped on you while you are already under the sprinkler on a hot day, even more refreshing!

*hey CatzGurl lame metaphor!*

In general, you shouldnt be doing mind-altering chemicals unless you're in a good mental state to begin with. While MDMA has been used experimentally in couples therapy or for those with PTSD, the principal benefit of the drug is that it allows the patient to emotionally open up to a qualified therapist - just taking the drug without the proper theraputic support isnt going to solve any problems. If your friend is depressed, MDMA is definetly NOT a good idea because it will lower your friends' serontonin levels, thus probably making the depression worse - just ask people who take MDMA on a frequent basis. Of course, your friend can make whatever decision he/she wants about MDMA, but encouraging him/her to take it because you think its a magic pill that will solve all their problems is irresponsible at best.

Also, the amount of MDMA given for a theraputic dose is WAAAAAAAAY less than a dose to get high.

It use to be a known fact that GHB was the CURE for depression. But now it is illegal, therefore it is nothing but a date-rape drug instead.

I know absolutely no problems whatsoever that can be solved by consuming E. Drop the crackpipe and try to think of a smarter solution...

Well hypnotherapy and reverse-hypnosis are extremely enhanced by the consumption of ecstasy. If you have an experienced practitioner, it can do some pretty great stuff.

E can enhance that hypno bs... I dont care. How much damage is it doing to your central nervous system while your'e at it??? Amphetamines have very bad side-effects, what you get on the streets or off your chemist buddy is NOT made in a controlled environment nor is it tested properly, most of time it's cut with garbage to top things off.

That hypno "BS" has taken many people from the throes of extreme psychological anguish to feeling good almost all the time, within a few weeks. Pretty cool BS.

That's fine Horus, my issue here is that E you buys off your dealer is most certainly not what they have used in their studies. If it was used in clinical studies, then the compound was definitely made from quality material with quality equipment in a controlled safe environment... which isn't what the OP is suggesting at all.

At this point, if anything MDMA is in phase 3 studies, thus being used on humans... wether they can the whole project remains to be seen. I doubt we will ever see anyone get treated with MDMA in anything but clinical studies anytime soon, but nice try.

There are many people who are ready to step outside of the artificial boundaries of legality in order to do the natural, which is care for his fellow human. Having a diploma on the wall does not mean you don't do that. It only means that you have to hide it better.
