.........Ever since I discovered it, my life has gradually become fully devoted to psytrance. Every day I feel lucky to have found such an underground, exotic, and foreign form of music. For me, listening to psytrance is not like listening to other kinds of music, it has an energy which speaks to me unlike anything else. Everyday I am thankful for the powers it gives me and am thankful that it has led me to a new great source of joy in my life; DJing. When I spin psy, it gives me a rush more extreme than any drug. However, at the same time, I feel like I am truly taking upon a spiritual task and would lack much spirituality in my life if I had never found it.
I love all types of psytrance and progressive, of all BPM ranges and styles. If I had to choose, I definitely would pick the midnight, full on, harder, melodic shit!! I love South African psytrance and many of my favorite producers are from there; Shift, Slug, Hydraglyph, Tube, Broken Toy... ect...ect..ect. I also am a really big fan of Mexican and South American psy. Great new artists are coming out of there. I would love to hear anyones recommendations on what they think I may like.
I currently live near New York City and Burlington Vermont. I am moving back to Burlington for good this summer. If anyone is going to go to any parties in New York City this winter/spring please say 'hi.' My goal for this summer is to meet as many people as I can in Montreal and have them come down to our house in Burlington for a party!
